pto lever guide bracket

Postby pickerandsinger » Sat Oct 20, 2012 1:21 pm

my tro did the "pop out thing" while mowing.....I removed the guide bracket and now its working but the tractor seems to bog down a bit when mowing and it seems to be harder to take off mowing in second gear....Seems overall to lack some power...Its a 1957 low boy cub...( I also have a 53 )....Any comments out there, this is my first post....I tried earlier but was unsuccessful .....Having a bit of a problem with the website....Dave

Welcome to the forum, the sliding PTO Hub is probably worn at the splines and it kicks out, not uncommon, here is a link showing the part, http://www.tmtractor.com/new/pt/449-1fp.htm, you can look through the filler plug for the transmission and see it move back and forth with the lever
