Ouestion about The Touch Control unit and hydraulic pump. The hydraulics are leaking down on my 76 cub. When the tractor is running I can push down on the rockshaft and it will jump up and ease down over and over. When I turn the tractor off I can push the rockshaft down like I am pushing the fluid out. I don't see any fluid leaks anywhere. My question is would the leak be inside the TC unit itself or does it sound like the pump is not able to pump the fluid with the pressure needed? Thanks Paul

Thanks Boss, I have not worked on a T/C unit before, But I am sure I can figure it out. Do I need a standard rebuild kit?

There are two different kits, based on the part number of the unit. Make sure you get the correct one. http://www.tmtractor.com/new/hy/044fp.htmhttp://www.tmtractor.com/new/hy/627fp.htm

Don, a word of advice from someone who has rebuilt his own T/C unit. Don't tear into the unit until you have the parts on hand and time to do the complete job, start to finish and have thoroughly reviewed the instructions and the how to posts on this site. As you remove components, clean them and place them in order of disassembly to avoid any confusion upon reassembly (and there will be some).
