Hi, after looking at a previous post for a mystery part got me looking at what I thought was the same part but as it turned out it was different, this is a link to that post viewtopic.php?f=1&t=74306the part shown on the left in that post is a snow plow bracket that bolts to the rockshaft for the early snow plow,I have a 57 with a similar bracket bolted on top of the 54A plow frame bracket on the torque tube that looked pretty useless to me, after looking at my 47 cub which has thebracket shown in that other post I realized they were different, so I took a couple of pics to show the difference, the early plow bracket on the left about 8" long and mystery bracket on the right is 7" long, the pics below show it on the tractor, it has the locator pin in like the snow plow bracket but it is off center and looks factory to me If some one can idenify it they win one of my Serial # overlays for the cub year of their choice, the winner will have to show in a diagram or picture where its used as I really do not know either Tim

Tim...Do you think it may be used as a "hold up" for a mid-mounted blade? [disconnect lift rod from rockshaft and pin it to your bar]

Does the pin actually go into a hole or does it just stop the bar from rotating beyond a certain point? Doesn't look like it is inserted into a hole.

Hi Boss,What mower brand mule drive was used with this? I bought this 57 tractor from the original owner with all the equipment he bought with it new, even got the paper work with from the dealer, it came with a mott mower,54A,F38,and a 194 plow, who knows why they bolted it to where it was? thanks Tim

maybe he used it as a washer, maybe the bolt is too long or boogered up.
