The P.O. installed a large Idiot light on my 1950 cub in place of a gauge .
The red light comes on when you pull out the start switch, then as you start her up and throw the throttle forward , the alternator is excited and charging , the light goes out. When you kill the engine or throttle
back the light comes back on.

I have a hard time posting photos , sorry.
