Yes, I know it's a Craig's list ad, but take a close look folks.

There's something on this tractor we seldom see anymore. Hope you enjoy the sight. Not sure they're original or not, as I don't recall seeing many of them myself.

Are they two-piece though?

That, I don't know. I just spotted the ad this morning. Even with my bad eyes, I can't seem to find any lines in them to indicate split weights.

Do not look like IH weights to me. Appear to be smooth one piece weights. Maybe custom made?

I don't see a split. However, I do see slots where the bolts are. The real thing has holes with recesses for square bolt heads. I also note the size of the center holes. Looks like you have to pull the hubs to remove/install. I imagine they came off of some garden tractor.

Jim,

Come to think of it, seems like I've seen some Simplicity/Allis Chalmers garden tractor weights on epay for sale that looked just like you're describing. Like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Simplicity-Allis-Chalmers-Wheel-Weights-25-each-will-fit-others-/321017805798?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4abe26fbe6

They could be 45# W&N Fresno front weights. I will do a search later for the pictures. That is how they mounted, just not sure of the slots or if they had holes.

They look like they might be 15" high crop rims to me.

The area code in the ph number is wrong, It should be 336
He has a full set of cultavators that go with the cub also. Said his dad owned it about 10 yrs before him and he has owned it almost 10 yrs now. Didn't know what the front weights originaly came off.
