Vinyl vs canvas seatsI'm looking to replace my seat for my restoration. What seat would be the best a vinyl seat or canvas and what color is preferred? Anyone know what was stock?
Re: Vinyl vs canvas seatsIn '51, the original was silver canvas.
Re: Vinyl vs canvas seatsThe canvas is more forgiving on the posterior -- vinyl well just think hot summer day -- car ... should answer that question right off

Re: Vinyl vs canvas seatsWhen I restored my Super A I went with the black vinyl seat because they didn't offer black canvas. (The seats were black in 47-48-49ish) I like the vinyl because it is easy to clean. From a distance you can't tell it's vinyl....

Re: Vinyl vs canvas seatsI have canvas and vinyl seat covers on my cubs. For looks the vinyl ones are nice, but on a cold day they are really cold when you first set down on them, and on a hot day, if ou drive them very long your posterior will sure get sweaty. For daily use I prefer the canvas.
