I didn't realize that was a factory paint scheme.....always thought that was an owner creation when I saw one.

I hate to note someone's serial number, but this appears to be the last 'Farmall' Cub. 12V SN 22470X. I asked the fellow that was a mechanic at the family dealership and he wasn't sure if it was original.

I put 3 diffrent pics together from TMs site to compare, the top pic we all know is yellow with a white hood and the bottom two, unless they are puprle or some other darker color i would say they look red to me. The pics speak for them selfs.

How gray is red depends a lot on the scan and the saturation of the original brochure, among other things. Here are two examples of red on the same page from TM. I wouldn't read much into comparisons between different scans.

As Jim said, there's not much you can tell from B&W photos. Matter of fact, the one from the 1960s shown above is more likely a yellow/white tractor than red, just because it is on the IH Industrial Tractor brochure. IH went to Federal Yellow for their smaller equipment after much request from municipalities to provide industrial equipment in highway "safety" yellow.

I hope folks realize I was joking.

I think Peter Person owned one for a short while. Perhaps even the one in BW's post. Always liked that color scheme.

I am 80% sure that if it has a white hood and red bottom it is a 12 volt Farmall cub. It may be that most were white hoods and red bottoms the 12 volts farmall cubs that is
