Hitting with a hammer and punch inward may help loosen the brass. You will need to drill a hole anyway so no reason not to try a left handed drill bit. I have also used both allen drivers and regular screw drivers as an easyout. Just find a size that fits tight.

Inexpensive easyouts that are both hard and brittle are not the ones to use. The better extractors are more ductile and less likely to break.

Some shock as Landreo suggests can be helpful in loosening up corrosion between dissimilar metals. The thing to remember is that the carburetor is soft pot metal so we don.t want to use to heavy a blow. Repeated taps may be better than one heavy rap.
