Let us pray for farmers and all who prepare the soil for planting, that the seeds they sow may lead to a bountiful harvest.
Seasoned hedge (osage orange) around here brings $50 to $75 a rick (half cord) I will burn on average 3 cords a winter but I dont rely totally on the wood heat. I have my gas furnace as a back up. I have a big Wood Aire wood stove that can make the paint sag in the room that it is in. This time of year I prefer to burn hackberry and ash during the day and throw the hedge on at night. I got 2 cords of mixed stuff from my wifes uncle for free so I wont need much hedge until late January or February.
