Planter drive oil seal?

Ok, So the old seal is nearly an inch thick and the image on messicks shows a standard thin oil seal! I can find no oil seal listed that fits this application in either a timkin or national oil seal catalog so this has me stumped!

Now for the two main questions,

1) Can I fit two seals in the holder or will only one fit?

2) Does anyone have a number for the oil seal itself so I can simply order it the a parts store for less then IH wants?

Nothing against IH but they mark some parts up by 300% or more!

From ATIS:

Federal Mogul 472070
National 14702, 472070
CR 18104 (use 2)
National 470267SSR
CR 512309BT

One seal will be enough.

You will not find the old rawhide seal. Old technology. They have been replaced by new materials like nitrile. Do not use 2. The outer one will run dry and then allow dirt to pack in between them. One skinny one will allow you to position a new seal in a spot that is not worn.....sometimes

There's also a rubber O ring behind the Nut that may need be replaced.
