I have always in the past had the chains on Tractor tires...thats all I had...the chains mostly fall between the treads..except for in the middle of the tire where they cross over..I thought these turf tires would put ALOT more chain contact to the ground???? your thoughts.......Thanks..Tom

Thanks...I try really hard..but the floor is in such bad shape rite now..love to do a re-coat of the epoxy-coat thats on it now, or I've seen some really nice garage floor coatings professionally done....maybe too nice for what I would do to it....Tom

I think you should be fine as you are set up. I plow with a Lo Boy with a fast hitch (more weight on the rear tires). With no chains on turf tires was pretty hard to work with, but lately I have been using loaded ag tires and that has been fine, without chains. I have chains here (not the 'good ones' like yours, those are up north) but have never really needed them.

Traction is good, but if the traction is too good you can break something on the Cub before you break traction.... I would rather spin a wheel than break the torque tube or plow.

Try it with just the chains, if they spin on the tire you could add bungees or something to hold them in place. I found that 9.5 turf tires are nearly identical to 8.3 ag tires, so if you ever get ag tires the same chains should work fine.

I am very jealous of your shop. The rule seems to be, no matter how big it is, eventually it ain't big enough. Really nice! As are the Cubs!

My IH bolts are just long enough to reach through, no washer. Another thought was to use tapered nuts (they need replaced anyway) and taper the holes in the weights. Some loctite too, but the original combination stayed together for 48+ years.

Looks like a much more comfortable area to work in than what im accustomed to. Wondering about your paint area. Do you use it for large ptojects or mainly small.? Do you have an exhaust system? Thanks for the pics.

Exhaust system is drop the remaining side curtain, open the garage door with whole house fan sitting on opening drawing air out...haven't used it yet...hope it works...Tom
