Taking My 76 Red longstripe Apart

Postby pm_wells » Sat Dec 15, 2012 6:22 pm

I have been working on my 76 red cub off and on for about two weeks now. I installed orings and gaskets in the T/C unit and now I am taking the cub apart to clean and prime. Just as someone said I did find the mustard color primer between the tool and battery boxes I can also see the primer showing through where I sprayed purple power and rinsed with water on other areas. Here are a few pic's

I will post more as I go along. BTW that pink looking paint on the starter is paint I thought was red.
Thanks Paul

Is there any reason that you know of that the mustard primer was not used on the hoods?
I haven't done anything to the hood yet so I don't know.

They did not prime the hoods , unless it was a replacement part
on the ones that I have encountered.
