mott mower questionSince we don't have many mott mowers or any other flail type, I was wondering how you sharpened the blades on these mowers or do you just change them out? I can't envision any way to sharpen them without taking a couple of days.

This makes the sharpening job a LOT easier. ![]() Picture courtesy of "scrappyike." "The probability of life originating from accident is comparable to the probability of the unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing shop." Edwin Conklin, biologist
Re: mott mower questionRemove mower from tractor, turn mower upside down. 4" grinder to sharpen blades in place. They also made a blade sharpener for the blades.
Turn the mower deck upside down to replace the blades. I don't bother to sharpen the blades, have to replace the blades every 2 or 3 years - hit rocks. If you replace the blades, save some of the better blades and the pins. Edit: Corrected spelling. I have an excuse. CRS.
