Deluxe Seat Shifter Extension
When I was at Cub-A-Rama I noticed one of these on Mike Mueller's Cub. Started talking to him about them and turns out he makes them. IMO, they are a great addition to the Deluxe Seat models. It makes hooking up fast hitch implements easier because it is within reach to move forward and reverse while looking back. Call it lazy but I like it! When I painted it I also did some painting on my IH 100 Blade. The previous owner had painted everything but the back silver. I want to preserve the factory decals until I can get them copied so I decided to sandblast everything but the back and put some good IH Federal Yellow on it. Hopefully this winter I will get my rear weights painted and put on.

Re: Deluxe Seat Shifter Extension
That is a very cool idea and looks real nice. How does it attach? Is it permanent?
What size wheels are on the front of your tractor? They look larger than normal. They aren't from a 140 are they?

They are probably 15" like the H/W varitey. BTW, I like the shifter too. How much does he get for those?

Re: Deluxe Seat Shifter Extension
Chase,
They are not permanent, they are very close tolerance ID and secure with two set allen head screws on each side. He makes them a bit taller and you can cut the top of the shifter down to you desired height. I wanted mine even with the touch control lever. I just ordered 4 more from Mike, 2 for me and 2 for a friend. I asked him to chime in on pricing. I liked my first one so much I wanted them on the other 2 Deluxe Seat Tractors.
The front wheels on my 77 are IH Factory 15" wheels with 4.00-15 Firestones. I started collecting them to put on all of my tractors. So far I have 4 sets of the 15" fronts and 2-1/2 sets of the 30" rears.
Here is a pic of the set screws on the shifter.

Thanks Rudi,
I have seen this before but I thought maybe you or Boss might have a answer to why there is a Red Paint spot on my all original Yellow Long Stripe. This tractor has never seen a repaint but yet there is a red painted spot behind the distributor on the engine block. There is no other reminance of red paint any other place besides this area. None on the distributor or housing etc. Any ideas??
Jeff

Re: Deluxe Seat Shifter Extension
I have 2 of Mike's extensions and I don't know how I lived without them. With my big gut out front, it was challenging, but not impossible to bend down and reach for the shift lever. Now I can keep my hand on the shift lever and look backwards, sideways, forwards, or upside down and not loose my grip of the shift lever.
Jeff, I need a set of those 15" front rims for my highway mowing set up; where can I find some? Do you have any for sale? Any leads would be appreciated.

I have no idea why there is red paint there. Maybe Boss will know.
