I have a 57 with the adjusting arm with the button on it. I see some cubs pictures that is a 57, and they have the handle that you turn it like the ones on yellow cubs. Which one is correct for 57 ? I am talking about the one that is beside you when you are sitting in the seat. Not the one behind the tractor. Thanks .

The fast hitch came out in 55 with the lever/button setup, they made them that way for the first few years then changed it to the screw type handle, I have 3 57's and they all have the lever, your tractor may have had the fast hitch added to it later that is why the handle type is on it, they both fit and work fine Tim

I though the fast hitch came out in 54. My 57 cub has the deluxe seat and the bent gear shift lever.

Wood: TC-37D Revision 1 (Revised 12-54)Rudi's Farmall Cubs wrote:Note: In this Revision of the TC-37, there are couple of interesting entries. One of the most interesting for me, is that it is pretty well common knowledge that the Fast-Hitch was introduced in the 1955 production year where the IH Lo-Boy was also introduced. In this particular revision of the TC-37 released in December of 1954 we see the first inclusion of the Fast-Hitch parts breakdown. To me, this is interesting. Probably a few gems to be found in this issue.
I am not sure what year the deluxe seat and bent shifter rod came out, but I am thinking it was in the early 60's. This would indicate that your '57 has had some additions to it and the fast hitch style would be in line with that assumption. I would have to get into my paper TC-37's to be sure, but I think Jim Becker would know the answers to these questions. Check the line for Item #9 in the pic below. //Chassis/Page-145.jpg)

I have a '57 Cub Loboy and a '58 Cub Loboy and both appear to have come with a deluxe seat from the factory. Were you refering to the F-Cub only? The '58 has a fasthitch with the screw crank. I am pretty certain that the '58 is 100% original equipment as it was a one family owned tractor and the details were described by them upon sale of the tractor. It's a nice one! Good luck finding the information you need. Hope this has been some help. ...Frank

I looks in a book by Kenneth Updike, and it said that the fast hitch came out in 55. The deluxe seat came out in 57 and bent shifter in 57. The book show the hand crank and grill change for 59 to 63.

But the only thing I saw about a change in the 58 low boy was, they stopped making adjustable front axle for the low boy.

My '58 Loboy has an adjustable front axle. This is a very original tractor except for paint. Even has the original rear tires with very little wear. Sorry about getting a little off track. ...Frank

Just a little better looking than when it was found.
