BigDog's Christmas Eve Cub Haul

Postby 'Country' Elliott » Wed Dec 19, 2012 4:35 pm

Nearly Christmas Eve in Stoutsville, but "Where was the SNOW?"
"Now my big, red Dodge is fueled up and I'm ready to GO !!!"

BigDog had aired up his trailer...his Santa suit was all pressed.
A Thermos of HOT coffee and he was mostly all dressed !

BossDog Janet had been baking Snicker Doodles all day.
She had packed some for The BigDog to take in his "sleigh".

"Now Darrell Darlin' be careful...be safe and alright."
"You know I don't like it when you stay out all night."

But she didn't try to stop him, cause she'd known from long ago.
That he just had to do it...heist those Cubs in the dry or in snow !

"I'm off Darlin' Janet" "Now I won't be too late!"
I'm just letting those Cubbies think I've taken their bate"!

So off drove the BigDog in his old Dodge so trusty...
his trailer pulled fine, even though slightly rusty.

He headed straight away towards old Indiana.
He cleaned off his dashboard with his tattered bandana!

He knew an old farm that was just down the line...
With a BARN full of Cubs: "I'll make out there just FINE!"

He turned off his headlights and eased up the drive.
"What a piece of cake this is...like honey in the hive."

He rolled back the barn door...lowered the ramps on his trailer.
clamped his winch on his first Cub and hauled it on with the lever.

First one Cub...then Two Cubs...then three Cubs...then Four.
He was careful...so quiet, as he rolled back the barn's door.

Into low range he shifted to creep out of the drive...
"They won't know till Christmas Morning I've been into their hive!"

BigDog had worked up a hunger...so he thought for awhile...
"I'll eat some Snicker Doodles" and he started to smile !

'Six Snicker Doodles will hold me till I get down the road."
"Just 4 more Cubs to snatch...that'll make a FULL LOAD."

He was Free-Stylin' now just like on American Pickers.
Those bumpy farm back roads had bunched up his nickers !

At last he was there, his last barn was in sight !
"I'll pull in here right quiet like so I can call it a night !"

But he hadn't counted on a watchful old farm dog...
sleepin' right near the barn's door.

That Dang dog took a bite outta BigDog...
Then he came back FOR MORE !

"I think he HIT PAY DIRT !
I'm feelin' real sore."

"Half of the rear of my Santa Pants
are on that dawg's barn floor!"

"Enough of this nightmare...
Four Cubs will just have to do."

"I didn't sign up for a dawg fight...
with my butt chewed up too."

So the BigDog was tired, "That's it for the night."
He drove back to Stoutsville on that Christmas Eve bright !

He off loaded the four Cubs way back in his barn.
He slipped off his Santa suit..."Dag nabit & Darn!'

"I hope I don't need stitches from that old barnyard dog?"
He slipped off to bed...and slept just like a log!"

Another great Christmas tail tale Country. Thanks for the entertainment

Old Flash keeps a good eye on the Cubs along the Ohio/Indiana border.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
