I understand Spec Cast already has a Cub with a loader in the planning stages.

Brendan, Just so you don't think I have some secret source...in the Jan-Feb issue of Red Power Magazine, Ken Updike has an article about upcoming models. He writes that the Cub with 1000 loader should be at dealers in April of this year.

That Lo Boy is much nicer than my loader Cub.... but it runs good and also has the big bucket.

I am guessing from my limited experience with a loader Lo Boy that you gotta scramble over the seat to get on it?

Funny thing is some folks think a Lo Boy is easier than a Cub to get on and off..... Obvious to me they have either never gotten on/off a Lo Boy or never gotten on/off a Cub. With a 1000 loader, the 'post' is right in the way of the platform (cannot really tell from your pictures). So you cannot get on or off the dang thing easily. Pretty well stuck with a no suspension pan seat or some hazardous moves to get around the deluxe one.

My guess is that loader was not original to the Lo Boy, I think the long levers and bigger bucket were for 140's.

It will be a 70's model with chains. I doubt it will have a one point hitch and mower.

I cant say how easy it is to get on and off of a lowboy with a loader but my cub with a loader and fast hitch is easy since the loader frame has a step on it, way easier then my other one with a fast hitch that has the plow adjustment right in the way trying to get on and off. Id love to see them have a spec cast model with a loader.

Yep Mr FarmBoy.... a Cub with a 1000 is the EASIEST one to get on and off of..... and the Lo Boy is the HARDEST... not the best picture, but the 'thin man's' little brother (paper thin man??) is the only one that can get on/off without climbing over the rear end.

I would test out the idea, but that Lo Boy is spread out all over New England! Not sure a couple of inches would help much.

The upside is that the PTO was barely used and just last night I installed it in my long stripe. Sure do hate to chase down parts I loaned out, but so far NONE have been returned without asking.... I guess I should do some asking!

That loader doesn't have the step, but the other does.
