We need a new section in here for joint replacement doctors. Tractors, hips - same idea!

Glad to hear you are doing well and your dad is getting better. I had my right hip replaced 2 years ago. Although I have pain every once in a while it is so much better than before it was replaced. But a word of warning.... i had to go back into surgery when the incision didn't close properly all they way through.....started doing things too early I guess....... so be careful and take it easy every chance you get. It is not fun going back into surgery.

Thanks Charles.

I had my right hip done by the same Dr 10 years ago, so I know the protocol.

This time around I am 120 lbs lighter, and at 2 weeks out, he told me to stop the therapy, grab my cane and go. Today, I am 6 weeks out and doing great. I just take the cane when outside for stability. The tendons and ligaments at the knee and the hip still have tender spots at times, but the rest feels good. :big afro:
