What is the correct threads for the carb. inlet and the
fuel sediment bowl? I picked up several items and PO
must have used anything close. Hope to salvage some
items. Not just for parts.
Can a heilcoil be inserted?

Re: fuel line?
1/2-20 is the correct size, but some people will thread in a fitting that is pipe thread and booger them up. They can be drilled and helicoiled.

1/2-20 is the correct size. Bill, you must be thinking about implement holes.

Yes, I pulled it up and read across the wrong line. So much for that new eye.
I better edit my post so nobody reads my reply and goes no farther.

Thanks for the info, now I can try to salvage some items.
Some are parts only. When you get a box unseen, you

Re: fuel line?
There is a pilot guide that was designed by Rick Prentice to center and guide an end drill prior to tapping for a helicoil. Without one you may have a hard time getting a straight hole. If you were in the midwest or east, I'm sure you could borrow one, or have the helicoil done at a Cubfest. The fitting that stripped the threads was likely 1/4" NPT. Edelmann makes this fitting (168540) which can be used if you aren't concerned about correctness. (photo from Plews-Edelmann website)

Re: fuel line?
For the line itself, standard 5/16" brake line works and they come with fittings. But you will need a couple of ferrules.
Lots of good info around, try a search. (it's a 'popular' topic).

Re: fuel line?
When seating the new ferrules use a different fitting and not the carb inlet. Those carb threads seem the be soft and a lot of them are stripped out that way.
