Can intake/ex gasket cause a skip?
I will try to make along story short. Split tractor for trowout bearing change & rear seal fix. Back together no problem. Manifold had pipe welded in, so I changed it. I used the old gasket. Engine had a miss on #3. Pulled manifold swaped gasket front to rear now the miss is#2. Engine ran good before work, no stuck valves, good compression. Have gasket ordered.

Re: Can intake/ex gasket cause a skip?
Short answer, Yes. Wait until new gasket installed. If skip persists try unlit propane torch around gasket area. If gasket leaking, the skip/miss will cease when the unlit propane is drawn into the engine at leak site.
I have an excuse. CRS.
