I have an early 1979 Cub with a "stamped" part number of 529 413 R1 on the engine. The block looks like the original P/N was ground off and above # stamped on the block. I can find no references for this P/N. Does anyone have any info on this particular number?? Engine s/n is 325366X and casting date is 10-11-B FWIW.

Do a search for a board member named dyancey, he did a post on an engine with that part number back in 2005. there is also a 1976 cub in the cub data base that has the same stamped number.

Yours is the third engine that has shown up with this PN. The earliest was in late '73, the second was in Mid '76, and now yours in early '79. As to the meaning and why the different PN from what is normal (251341RX), I can't say.

I got your PM, and have all your information plugged into the database! Thanks!
