Foot of snow in Ontario

About a foot of snow on the ground and another 10cm coming. The cub walked thru it but I could have used the extension on the blade today. Hope you are all enjoying your seat time.

Am I correct in assuming that is a pretty light fluffy snow, since you appear to be having no problems and have neither wheel weights or chains.

The rear tires on the tractor came loaded with calcium chloride so that adds a fair bit of weight. The snow is the sandy granular type, lighter but not the real fluffy stuff. It snometimes will slip a little if I push uphill then I raise the blade an inch or two and that is usually relieves enough force to allow me to keep pushing.

Been a long time since I been in the Peterborough area. Sure looks nice. Judging by that smile on your face, you been enjoying the snow. Gues what... what you got today is due here somewhere around Sunday or early Monday. Right after the Nor'easter that Ed and the rest of the Northeast guys are enjoying right now.

P'shawww David. I can spend hours and I have plowing snow. It is pure quality seat time. Not an ounce of work there at all Course that all depends on your own frame of reference.

Find someone who makes/sells Alpaca socks. Your feet will never get cold. The only thing I know of that is warmer than Alpaca socks is Innu Mukluks and with them you don't wear socks even in the high Arctic I wish I still had my pair of muks ... but they wore out 30 years ago. Lasted 10 years though. Sealskin and Caribou ... really warm Like Innu muks Alpaca socks ain't cheap though.

guys , im afraid we have all of ya'lls boots beat . we just slide out our flip flops and let the sun go to work coppersmythe....................high of 75 yesterday .

While 75 and sunny sounds nice, I'd hate to miss all that seat time and my 54A blade would feel neglected. Besides the best part of pushing all that snow around is pilling your "alpaca clad sock feet" out of your "snowmobile boots" and doing this.
