I bought a replacement boot for the hydraulic cylinder on the cubs touch control.
The thing is tiny and I have no clue what it is for. I simply cleaned up the old leather boot and reinstalled.
The one for the spool valve fit great on the other hand.
Hope this can help somone down the line.

The later touch controls only used a boot over the knuckle, not the cylinder, and if you order one from IH dealer the new one is what you get. If you order one for Super A it will fit over the cylinder, or TM Tractor, one of the site sponsors also sells the full size boot. If you have a touch control that originally used the small boot, it does not have the groove on the lip to hold the boot in place at the extension on the casting.

Messicks tractor parts.
I used to go to the local Case/New Holland dealer but was paying for shipping anyways so I simply started buying online.

I had the same problem. TM didn't have the boot at the time so I ordered it from Messicks.
The boot they sent for the main cylinder fit the control spool, and the one they sent for the control spool was too tiny for anything.

The small boot goes over the rod on the main cylinder and fits inside the cylinder, this keeps the water and dirt from getting to the pivot on the rod inside the cylinder Tim
