Skis instead of front wheels

Postby Winfield Dave » Sat Feb 09, 2013 6:46 pm

Had so much snow thought we'd put some skis on the loader instead of wheels. :{_}:
Just kidding - we only got 6 inches.
Had it jacked up doing some front tire work.

Hey Dave, it's winter so we should see the video of the Ford tractor with the screws on the snow soon. . Your not that much farther north than me, we got maybe an inch or so. Way to much hype from the weather people in Philly for what we got. Have fun in the snow.

Dave,

There is an Amish outfit, near Kidron, OH, that makes very sturdy skis for their horse drawn wagons. You might talk them into making a set for your Cub. :) :)

I posted this a few years ago, but I thought it was worth posting again due to all the snow out east. It's not ski's on a tractor but it's still cool!!

Speaking of ford tractors we didn't get enough snow to put the tracks on my ford to good use. Only about 6" but it make quick work of my 1300' driveway. Sure I could have use the cub but it would have took a lot longer.

Awesome Kirk! That 4000 would be handy around here with the snow (very frozen), but hard on the neck running in reverse.

BTW, I don't think skis would be too useful.... at least for me, I spend a fair amount of time in reverse. 'Steerage' would be a problem.
