Hello all, I could not get my info out so I made a new profile. I am from Maryland and I have my great Grandfathers cub that I am working on. It is a 48 model and had been previously restored by my father in the late 70's. I am now trying to give the old girl a job that we can both b proud of. I started to work on it about a year and a half ago and kids and work hemmed me up. I am hoping to cultivate with it in the spring. I have valve, magneto and carb questions but i will start another thread on all that. I hope you guys will put up with me on my second run at this. I really love this old tractor and it needs a purpose. Thank you in advance

Thanks Bill, I hope to gain some knowledge from you guys. When I figure out how to downsize my pics I will show you my cub. I was working on it tonight, and was a bit frustrated. THe wife asked me if it was worth fooling with and keeping. Women sometimes don't understand the sentiment of things like this. Bought new by my great Grandfather. So yes dear it is worth keeping, I said politely

Download a free program called IrfanView. It makes changing photo size pretty simple.

Do you remember your old name? If so I would imagine the site admins could help you out with your old profile.

I do remember my old name but it has been a while and I did not post much. I am going to start another thread with some questions I have. I have the old girl all apart right now.

Well then, I guess you probably have seen this, but will add it once again just as a refresher. As you know we have some really awesome resources for our members and you can start by following the links below:

Image to Farmallcub.com :big smile: Forum Family. And you have come to the right place for all things Cub related. If you click on the Site Rules, Regulations, & Important Information, it will point you to  the Welcome Wagon wherein you will find links to many useful sites and topics. One of which is the Cub Manual Server. Enjoy!.

I kinda get your situation - only my lo-boy belonged to my wife's father. I get very mixed signals. She complains about the money I spend on Eddie; but when I come in after mowing or clearing the drive, she tells me how pleased she is that the tractor is being used.

I also explain to her that what I have put into Eddie over the years still doesn't equal what it would have cost to buy a piece of stamped tin "big box store" machinery that can do the same work, and that Eddie is now ready for another 50 years.

I am guilty of being Greene. Between my father and I we have an interest in them all! Besides the JD's and the cub I am working on right now, He also has me fixing up his 67 MF 135. So we see no colors just some sweet old Iron. You can trust me, I swear. :D

Same for me....My grandpa had a John Deere H and my dad had a Farmall "A"......but I was partial to the "A".......I spent most of my summers breaks on the "A".

This is a pic of mine and my fathers tractors getting ready to do battle. Mine is on the left. We took this picture just to give our wives a hard time. They get tired of listening to us go on about all the tractors we are in to. They were away togethor at a scrapbook weekend and it really got a rise out of them
