I see em all the time where I never saw them before.... they really are everywhere.

My advise is to talk to them about THEIR Cub... you will find out soon enough if they want to part with a family treasure. I asked a woman who had a Cub in a barn that I see all the time why the hood was off it.... the first thing she said was it wasn't for sale.

hey mike, i toke an out of the way road when i got closer to home so maybe he won't see them. they were setting out in the field next to the woods . went through there about 2 years ago and did not see them then so maybe i can talk them out of them if they do not want an arm and a leg for them. tomcat

tomcat, I went by Ouachita Lake, 27 area last year and looked up the owner of the old rusty cub sitting out in the area. First words he had to say, "yes and it's not for sale", then he told me the history on it. He had it for years and years. But I love to look at them.

Oh, pm sent.

Randall, I've known that hwy 27 cub all my life. Leave him alone..... it's mine! I found one last summer in Bella Vista and the lady actually priced it. It hadn't ran in years and she let me tinker a while. I messed up and got it to run in just a few minutes. Her son found out it ran and decided to drive down from Nebraska to take it home. Be carefull you don't look to hard, I guess.

Had something similar with a $20 push mower a neighbor set out. Hadn't run in years and he couldn't get it to start. I had it running in about a half a minute and he sheepishly asked if I minded if he took it back to his shed. I didn't need it anyway, so I just chalked it up on the good neighbor ledger....

Something I learned long ago, if you are looking at buying a non running machine, tinker with it enough to decide if it is an easy repair, but do NOT make a serious effort to start it. If it starts you have just cost yourself a good bit of money. I do not even try to start a non running rig to load it, just use my little cheap winch to drag it on to trailer and tie it down, then drive away with a slightly concerned look on my face, and once I am out of sight I smile.
