Is the valve clearance on a cold engine 0.13 or 0.15? Have read conflicting specs......Thank you in advance

The book I have that came off Rudy's manual server shows 0.015. I figure a loose 0.013 is essentially a 0.015 anyway.
I grew up on VW's that really didn't like tight valves, so I always go a thou or so loose.

Early manuals listed .013, later ones went to .015. If your valves have just been redone, definitely use the .015 to allow for wear in.

.015 like Boss Hog says, they will tighten up. My grandfather was fond of saying what's on my tag line.

Every 60,000 miles on the '65 that Dad had....was a Euro model that PO had imported back when he got out of the service (GR sticker on the back deck).
The mark of needing a rebuild was if it wouldn't pull our big expressway hill at 50 mph, it was time for a freshening....

There are lots of hills in Indiana. I drove my daughter to school in Columbia, SC, and it was nothing but up and down hill from the time I passed Indianapolis.
