Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsThis might not be anything you'd be interested in buying, but I thought it was an interesting piece. Looks to be home made. I'm not quite sure exactly how it functions. The hydraulic cylinder is off of a cherry picker (engine hoist) but I'm not sure what it does. Does it tilt the top frame section rearward? Give me your thoughts. Oh, yeah. Note the Cub pulling it. That brings up another question. Although not clearly visible, is that a 3 pt. hitch behind that Cub?

Re: Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsLooks like you jack it and the roll of hay tilts toward the tractor

Looks like it. ![]() I don't believe in taking the bull by the horns. I took a goat by the horns once and that was enough excitement for me.

Re: Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsPhil has it. Back up to the round bale and spear the bale, then pump up the hydraulic ram to tilt the bale toward the tractor enough for ground clearance and move to a new location. The tilting mechanism pivots at all four attachment points. $1275 sounds like a lot of money for some square tubing, used tires and a cheap cylinder.

Re: Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsHey Scrivet i think we found the guy that designed your H's front end loader
Re: Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsI think there'd be problems with anything larger than a 4 X 4 bale.
Re: Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsDon't be making fun of my loader. I plan on winning quite a few bets with it! I like the care and thought that went into making the bale wagon work, including having a convenient place to store the jack handle.
Re: Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsThis is a tumble bug they use around here.

Re: Big Bale Mover & Some QuestionsI have never had any dealings with the big bales, but was just thinking when looking at the arms going back to the wheels that it would not handle a very big bale. "The Constitution is not an instrument for the government
