Cole Planter F/H on a Cub.Thanks to those at DSCF who helped getting this tailgate project back together. All that's missing now is the fertilizer disc and mounting bracket. The chute from the fertilizer can does go down between the frame rails, and the mounting bracket for the disc turns the fertilizer toward the disc and out of the seed trench. However, it seems that most used planters seem to missing the fertilizer setup. I'm wondering if it's going to be worth it after all said and done. Maybe it did a poor job, or because the unused fertilizer was difficult to remove from the can and caused it to rust out? Maybe I can coat the inside of the can to prevent that. Either way, I'll be painting it as close to the dark green original color as I can find, and as soon as the ground dries out, I plan to put it to work.

Re: Cole Planter F/H on a Cub.On the fertilizer hopper. You can coat the inside if you want to, but you will still need to wash out the hopper real good when finished, or it will still rust . Got to be clean.
