I just got a 1960 Farmall Cub and its running real good,,
I cut my grass several times, [ 3 aches with a 59 inch woods deck ] cleaned the air cleaner and changed oil and hydro fluid.. The Tractor shifts perfect and all is good,,BUT..
When Ive been cutting for about 1/2 hour or so I noticed about 1/2 cup of , what looks like off colored red oil comming out of the gear shift stick...??
I will be draining and refilling.. BUT is ther a seal bad,, or preassure build up...??
Any words of wisdom would be great..
Thanks Much Forum...

Hi and welcome, from a new guy also!
I had (still do) a bit of a problem with the gearbox, and it wasn't till a light dawned over my hear and thanks to bigdog, that I realised that the transmission and gearbox use the same oil. There is no oilseal between the two so you need to drain the transmission out to drain the gearbox. If you realised sorry, if not hope it helps, Best wishes
