Re: cub culivator colorsWhat Bill said plus depending on when made. Mounting frames were blue, red, or white depending on time of manufacture. Some ground engauging parts were blue or black again depending on time frame. Early stuff was blue, sq. nose late model black.

Re: cub culivator colorsWell its going on my 49 cub. I've been showing my cub for years and my cultivators that I bought with it have been sitting in a corner. I'm determined to get them pretty for Cubarama this year.
We are going to powder coat them. What shade of blue would it be? Would the red just be farmall red? Silly Boys, Trucks are for girls....

Re: cub culivator colorsearly cubs are all blue with a decal on the right toolbar. when the fast hitch came out in 55 the universal mounting frame was red and all the rest was blue, with decals on the universal frame and the right front toolbar, last they became white universal frames with black on the bottom with the square nose cubs

Re: cub culivator colorsI had heard at one point that the blue shade was Ford blue. Is that correct?

Re: cub culivator colorsThanks for the clarification. Does anyone know what shade the blue is. I'm trying to decide what powder to order. Also what colors would the shields and hillers be? Two of the shields look like they have red paint and the other two have blue.

Re: cub culivator colorsThere is two different shades of Ford blue. One is a bit darker. I get my color powder from Columbia coatings.

Re: cub culivator colorsIf you can't find IH blue then I believe the Ford dark blue is a close match. The shields are blue.

Re: cub culivator colorsCriswell's pictures of a '52 shows the same colors that would be correct for '49.
