The reference I found lists the D100 backhoe as 1,600 pounds. If so, having that much weight hanging on the back of a Cub will require quite a bit of counterweight to keep the front end down. Then throw in the weight of the outriggers and mounting frame and you have a lot for a Cub to carry around. If the hoe, counterweights and outriggers are all attached to the same frame, it is probably OK when stationary and digging. But I would exercise real caution when moving the tractor.

When I purchased it Rick was the first person I asked a few questions to. Of corse he was kind enough to answer them right away I know it's heavy even without the backhoe attached it was a to get on the trailer. I'll know exactly what backhoe when I pick it up this weekend but 1600 lbs sounds a bit on the heavy side since 2 of us moved it although just a few feet. Also there will be a lawn mower on the front to help counterbalance. Still first order of business will be to get the cub up and running And have fun doing it.

It is a little blurry, but looks like the weight is 1,135#. For less than $8 you can learn all about it.

My Woods 7500 rear backhoe unit weighs 950#. That's not including the sub frame, only the stuff behind the rear wheels. Once I mounted everything, I could extend the hoe as far as it would reach and the front tires were still touching, but I could lift the cub front with 2 fingers. Once I made the front arm and bucket assembly, that took care of all the wheelie issues. I think I did this project about the time Bigdog had his first Cubfest, so the cub finals have been holding up well. I had it weighed at a tractor pulling event/show back several years ago and it topped the scales at around 3800+ pounds. That's when I had rear weights too. I removed the rear weights and haven't noticed any difference in traction. It pretty much pulls right through everything with those 9.5 Firestones.
