Bracket for 1 wire alt.
Will the 1 wire alternator fit under the hood mounted on the standard generator bracket or does the bracket have to be modified or a new one fabricated?? Dusty B

Best thing to do is search this site for alternator installation posts. Quite a number of posts with pictures available.
Search BossHog's posts and I think Dale Shaw's. They turned the alternator up side down and utilized the generator bracket.
I made the bottom mounting bracket to mount the alternator upright and have two anchor points at the bottom of the alternator. Took me two tries to get it right. The belt tensioning arm, I purchased from Clint. Someone may still be selling the bottom mounting bracket.

I didn't make any modifications to either bracket. I just used a long bolt and some spacers to get the pulley to line up. I wish I had taken pictures while the hood was off.
