54A extension bellcrank

Postby Chris Jones » Sun Mar 24, 2013 8:22 pm

Hi everyone. Years ago I had a cub with the 54A blade and had to make my own bellcrank extension for it. That cubs long gone now but my neighbor just got a 54A blade for his cub and it's missing the bellcrank too. I have all kinds of documentation but I can't find the dimensions I used in making mine. Actually I guess I only really need one measurement. How far is the extra hole (the one extended back toward the driver) from the hole nearest it? All the other measurement are taken to fit the extension over the cub's bellcrank. Thanks.

This was posted by Rudi a while back, don't really know who gets credit for the picture.

my neighbor would rather spend a day with a welder than $5 buying a part and that part is really easy to make especially if you don't care about the curve and just make an L.

The drawing was made by Rudy Oblak. There is more to the bellcrank extension than that drawing shows.
