Woods 42c linkage

I just received my grandfather's '48 Cub. It has a Woods 42c belly mower on it. It looks like it is missing a piece of the lifting linkage. According to the manual there should be three pieces to the linkage. One long piece coming up from the deck, one center piece about 12 inches long, and a final piece that is offset that connects to the tractor's hydraulics. I am missing the center piece. If someone has it could you send me the overall length and distance between the two holes drilled in it (center to center)? A closeup picture would help me a lot, too. I love this tractor and can't wait to restore it someday, however, my youngest has already laid claim to it! Thanks for the help and the great info on this site. I plan to photo document this restoration in the coming years.

Nice looking tractor.

Here are some close-up pics of a Woods 42 on a Cub.

If you need that piece I have a few in stock for sale.

FYI, there is a bent "tab" that you can see in the 2nd photo which keeps the two bars from "hinging" backwards. Don't know if you can bend that bar (it's pretty stout), but you should be able to weld a small tab onto the flat bar to accomplish the same thing. Good luck.

Dale, thanks for the additional info. I made a piece last night without the "tab". I think it also helps to keep the linkage clear of the pedals, as well. I may try to just make the link a little longer and put an additional bolt/nut at the end. It should do the same thing.
