Peter,

Six to eight in some areas. A couple of inches in others. A lot melted today with temps up in the 50's. Supposed to rain all day tomorrow with temps in the 50's again. So, we'll lose a good bit tomorrow, also. I'm ready for it all to be gone.

Plowed, and worked down, planted 1/2 acre peas on March 16, planted 4 100 foot rows of kale a week ago, and put in 72 broccli plants last Thursday.

Frost first of the week did burn may potatoes and corn a little but they are going to be fine.

Hope all you northern folks thaw out soon. :)

Tim...you got me motivated with your videos (I subscribe to your Youtube channel). Got a good chunk of my upper field done. Clutch on my newest Cub needs some work. Todays project, cuz I have to finish my plowing and harrow at the communtiy garden at the college.

To top off yesterday...corn from the last years crop was part of supper. That Bodacious corn is mighty tasty...I tried growing that because Don McCombs does. Excellant crop, good eating!!!! Freezes well, too! :D

With all of that kale and broccoli, you won't have to buy "gas", for the cub!  Ed

Still too much snow on my gardens here in Maine. The ones that are partially snow-free are eight inches of mud. Won't be plowing for a while yet.

Sure wish I could see the soil. Still have over a foot of snow on the ground and forecast is calling for only 40 deg. F for the rest of the week. It's going to be a long, cold spring for us Northern Upper Michigan souls I fear. I like to see the soil turned up in the pic. Gets the blood running. Thanks. :{_}:

Had a post ready Sat. But it went poof :( Plowed last fall, so I disked, run off rows with narrow shovel pulled as deep as it would go (12"+), put out fertilizer (with modified watering can). Next ran the Merry Tiller through to mix fertilizer In soil. Planted cabbage, broccoli, lettuce, and onions ( same kind they grow in GA, but can't call them by that name, lol).

Took the front blade off on Saturday. No point in trying to plow, either the ground is dry or still froze. Need some rain, and it's snowing this morning.

I plowed a little patch for taters on saturday, here in the eastern panhandle we had temperatures in the mid 60s, and the soil condition was excellent and rolled over good. I think adding antifreeze to the tires helped a big difference also

Surprising that so many people still have snow on the ground or in the air. I decided not to finish up the upper garden and replace the clutch. I adjusted as much as I could and it is shot....so what could be more fun than plowing? Splitting a Cub? not :{_}: Anyone local have a splitting stand I can borrow for a few days???
