How much?- oils, etc.

Hi, bought an old Farmall Cub, we were told it's a 1946, probably not? We need all info about how much of whichever fluids it requires. We could guess, but we'd rather have proper info. We're pretty much rebuilding most of her. Stevens Ag has sent us a manual, parts list, price list, and the parts we already knew we'd need. Now, we need to know what all that doesn't contain.
Thanks, Cub Junk

Welcome to the forum! First year of production for cubs was 1947. Does your cub have a serial number plate? The home page here has a link that will give you the year of your cub from the serial number. Go to the manuals link above and check out the cub operator manual. It will give you all the fluid capacities and basically anything else you'd like to know

G'day to you and congrats :applause: on acquiring your 1st new to you Cub :D If you are not careful, they can get pretty addictive  One of the very first things I suggest is to become familiar with the Cub before you dig into it by reading an owner's manual. Such as say the McCormick-Deering Farmall Cub Owner's Manual 5-23-47. Understanding the tractor before you try to "fix" anything will save you lots of probable grief later on down the road.

For example: Lubrication

But this only tells part of the story, for the rest you need to look at this:

And that is just the start. Suggest you grab a cup of coffee/tea/something you like, a comfy chair and read a bit of the info in the links below. There is a lot of information and a ton of resources for our members.

Image to Farmallcub.com :big smile: Forum Family. And you have come to the right place for all things Cub related. If you click on the Site Rules, Regulations, & Important Information, it will point you to  the Welcome Wagon wherein you will find links to many useful sites and topics. One of which is the Cub Manual Server. Enjoy!.

Thanks y'all, I did download a few years of the manuals when I found that page after posting my question. Excellent. I had no idea Farmall was so international, yes, I knew it came from "International" Harvester, but when I lived in England, I never saw any. Glad to meet you. If we run into any more problems, I'll post. Of course, I'll be adding some pix of her as we go along.
