Not a surprising response - I have seen this before from other vendors who just don't seem interested in expansion. Many reasons for that. Did you put together the list of what was required for a Cub? If so, then if this Jeff fellow isn't interested as a supplier to the antique car/race car market, there may be others.
Personally I would rather just get them from TM if I can't find originals. Tom and Lynn have been long time supporters of our community and I deal with them for most of my new parts.

Rudi - TM will get my order. Heard the same information on TM this weekend at Cecil's. When I whine and complain about how hard the Wittek clamps are to work with - ya'll can remind me "we warned ya"...... TM will be very happy in a couple of weeks.....

Make sure when you paint it, you get runs in the paint and miss the spots that are hidden.

Dale - did you mean the clamps or the tractor
. If there are runs anywhere on RauCub-1 - I will strip it and start over. I am painting it one piece at a time......Hopefully you'll get to see it someday -I'd be glad to have your trained eye review our work.....It's going to Cecil's in August....

What Dale is referring to is replicating the original factory paint job. The cubs were painted as units, and often had runs in the paint, and some of the nether regions did not get paint.
By doing each part separately, you have no hope of having it look "as close to what it was when Dad purchased it."

That's a very good point and thanks for sharing it. The way I'm going to approach it - It will be better than it was when it was new. Also - someday when my grandson does this Cub over again - he'll have more paint to strip - he can curse grandpa then. I can see the posts now - someone will say - "when it came from the factory it would have been sprayed assembled - your grandfather didn't do you any favors....
I very much appreciate the myriad of thoughts and ideas about our project.
