I took some better outside pictures once I got it home. The hood is in great shape, and I am just going to clean it the best I can. Someone painted it, over the decal's and everything. The paint is cracked and rough. but no rust.
An honest looking cub. I have the tank drained(yuk) the fuel looked and smelled like turpentine, I will save it for parts cleaning.
However, the tank is clean and shiny inside

Re: Snagged a barn find **better pics added**
Hi, Looks like a good Cub, not rusted a lot. Just a few comments, guess it's a 1952, not a 1948 like I wrote earlier, if anyone read that. The left rear tire looks like it was put on the rim backwards, can't quite tell in the pics, looks like it's set in the same spacing as the right side. In my experience, those rear tires don't work well going the wrong way, there's not much traction. We turned them around so they're going the right way. I have a 1956 Cub, and we had 2 that were older. Guess you have a 1955 cub too, my friend had one in the past. Good luck with your Cub, Glen.

Honest looking Cub Dale. One shoe is backwards -- Ellie wore hers like that for a while till I got it turned around. Gives good traction on one wheel forward and one wheel reverse Is it me eyeball or is that Cub canted a bit to the right?
