New T/C Boots

While putting my T/C unit back together, I noticed the two boots were shot; cracked and brittle. Went to Tandy leather and bought a bag of leather scraps. Figured out the length and width of what I needed to make two cones. After going thru several paper templates, I settled on what I thought was very close, so made a mylar template.
Traced and cut out the leather.
Small boot:

My wife's sewing machine (Janome 4800 Memory Craft) can take chisel point needles for leather. I sewed a line along each open end (top and bottom in pic below) instead of folding it over, then I sewed the two sides together (left side of each in picture below).
Installed with wire.
