Transmission Cover Wear - Issues?

Could you look at this photo and let me know if this wear pattern will cause issues?

Was the part with the "H" shaped cutout installed?

The shifter has been broken at some point away from the shaft [ the ball that pivots in the housing not the ball on the end of the shifter ] I would replace it

Upon further investigation - the Boss Hog Wins. The cup has actually been broken loose and welded. The crack is still visible on the top and it is mostly aligned but not quite. I'm guessing the consensus would be that this should be changed for something with LESS Wear?
