that's neat, I am making a platform carrier for mine now. that implement lifting arm must be a lot stronger than I thought it was.

Gus:
That rear rockshaft is plenty strong. My 6 foot Outthrow Disc Harrow gets picked up pretty easily.
Bob:
Looks really good. Very nicely done. Keep us posted as you work the box blade.

Keep in mind that nearly all modern 3pt hitch systems do NOT have downpressure capability.
Downpressure in most applications is counterproductive, because the more you push down on the implement to force it to dig, the more you lift up on the rear tires of your tractor, and the less traction you have.
The implement itself should be designed to pull itself into the ground. That is what the scarifier teeth are for on the box blade, for example.

The only time I have found down pressure useful is with a post hole digger.

...or when trying to move loose sod and the blade wants roll over the top usually when pushing backwards with a box blade or a back blade. I like having the option available. Once again practical application and common sense should be factored in.

Did some real work with the 3 point today. With a 30" dirt scoop, we moved 6 yards of dirt around one of our rental houses. The attachment sure looks oversized on the back of the little cub.The hydraulics had just enough power to pick up a full load of dirt. Sometimes I had to give it a helping hand and lift up on the rear rockshaft to get it all the way up. Now I need to locate some front wheel weights.

I was thinking the same thing. Nice rig! I bet it was a little "lite" in the front end. Did you have to steer with the brake pedals?
Nice pic.

Are there dimensions available to duplicate your hitch design? I have a 1952 Cub, and I would like to build one.

Terry, That thread is from 2013 and Squarebob hasn't been on the Forum since then. You'd have to scale the parts off adjacent pieces or measure to fit. And welcome to the Forum.

Forum Member Tim Knighten built one a couple years ago and posted some info and picts. Try searching for this topic. I have some of his info saved, if you want it send me a PM with email address and I'll forward it to you.

I've got one started that I've used Bob's pics as a general idea to start with and Rick's remark about the vertical alignment of of the pivot points has been taken to heart. I don't have a mule drive, so that crossmember is what I'm working on first and I can add idler pullies later once I get started on figuring out a mower deck. So far, I'm still working the brackets made of heavy angle that bolt to the finals using using all 3 implement bolts holes on each side. I made a wooden jig with the bolt pattern to bolt the pieces of angle to so I could tack them in place. Tacked together, they bolt up to the finals almost perfectly, so now I need finish welding them together and "carve" them to shape with an angle grinder.
