Farmall Cub

I've been reviewing a lot of web photos and forum posts for proper painting of implements. I've seen the Universal Mount IH Red. I've also seen it IH Blue. Since ALL the paint is totally gone on mine, I have no clue what is was originally. There is the obvious answer = "it's your paint it however you like" - My preference is to replicate it as close to original as possible.

So will the real color for the Universal Mount - Please Stand-UP?

A few of the very early ones were blue and a few of the late ones were white. Most, including 1948, were red.

Jim, thanks - then IH Red it will be - it's my favorite color anyhow.

there are 2 versions of the universal mounting frame the later one had nuts on the top part

Mine has no NUTS - the Nuts are on the implements..... I'm the only one that's NUTS and crazy for working on my Cub......

hi ken for your 55 with the fast hitch the mounting frame is red, the tool bars and shanks are blue, ace hardware sells ih blue paint that is dead on match, I have the correct decals for them also

Tim, I saw Boss's photos his Universal Mount was RED. I guess if I'mm going to start using this UM on the 55 - I should paint it Red - Like in Boss's pix.
