Found a long stripe cub

I had a fellow I met last year stop by the house a month or so ago, he had to jog my memory of our meeting and conversation. He had been playing with cubs a while, just by word of mouth, and decided he wanted to switch to Green..

He asked if I was interested in all the cub stuff he had(silly question). I told him again I am always interested but usually broke. He kindly smiled and said I would not need a lot of that.

The long stripe is part of that package we agreed to. Most likely it will take me 4 or 5 trips(the way "I" load a trailer  )

We shook on the deal, and i am working on the funding. It took me 2 notebook pages to list most the stuff. I will post pictures of the rest of the stuff when I get it home. It does include 2 parts cubs and a runner that just needs some parts swapped, along with 3 cub power units(2 are stuck). I will get all the S#s later.

Tried, he just laughed. :big afro:

He is also needing the room in the shed, as he is wanting to set up a blacksmith shop.

Here are some more pictures of what is there. There is a cool looking push plow(home-made) and other cool stuff. I can't wait till it is mine and back here in the back pasture and barn.

There is a baked cub, a broke cub and a worker cub, and a bunch of implements.

I need some education, what is a long stripe cub ?

On the Cub power units, how were they used ?

I have a Cub power unit over at my families home place, I always assumed Grampa picked it up as a spare Cub engine.
I havn't messed with it to see if locked up or not, my guess is it would be locked up now.

Thanks !

:D

Here is a picture of ScottyD's Dad Power Unit running a C IH Corn Grinder - taken at Cecil's Mini-Fest on 20-April. he advised he got this unit from a baler.
I don't know what a long stripe is either.

A long stripe Cub is from the last years of production and had a long strip on the hood.

Yes, they can also be used as replacement engines in the Cubs.
