Back to the Crank
Are they all the same size...I have one for my 57 Low Boy, but it only inserts about 6/7 inches and stops in my 53....The 53 shows no signs of damage the crank hole has been cleaned...Dave

Re: Back to the Crank
Question. We are discussing the hand crank used to start the engine and the inability of the hand crank to pass completely through the 1953's bolster? Correct.
Flashlight and attempt to insert the hand crank, looking for the obstruction or the cause of the problem.
Check to see if the pin in the hand crank has been replaced, sometimes the replacement pin is a bit to long.

I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Back to the Crank
Sorry Eugene...Wasn't thinking...Yes its the hand crank...It fits great in the 57 low boy, but starts in the bolster in the 53 but doesn't go thru....I'll check it again and check the pin....Sorry about the post, I forgot about "Crankshaft"....Jeeeeeez.....Thanks for the reply, sorry you had to decipher it, but great job....Dave
