I fished my 74 out of my neighbors barn to do some mowing today. She came out to chat and the tractor idled for some time. Something did not smell good when I got over to the tractor and the TC was as hot as a frying pan. It took a little bit of fluid and started working again- or at least i was able to lower the mowing deck. My 52 hydraulics croaked last season and I have not had time to investigate that. I have a 1950 I am restoring so it looks like i have 3 TCs to rebuild.

No casting code or part number on the 1974 TC block.

look under the extension on the front where the pistons are, you will probably find it inside with of the side castings.

I've seen some later ones that the numbers are cast real light on the right side as well.

I can almost see something. I need to try a pencil rubbing.
