i would like to have a spare set to rebuild one spindle to keep in my cub parts box, just to have them. i ordered them at the dealer but the more i think about it $50+ is probably too much to pay. can you get these bearings at napa. is their a timkin part number? what about seals? is their a seal part number?

Download the /download.php?fname=./files/Mower%20Parts/RC-1A%20%20Rotary%20Cutters%2011-64%20OCR.pdf]RC-1A Rotary Cutters manual and go to page 175 which is Page 1 in Section K. That should answer your questions.

See if you can find the IH numbers in here, usually you can cross reference the numbers to Timken pretty easily.

I already did that in the parts book Rudi referenced. The pdf is annotated with Timken and CR part numbers for bearings and seals and Dayco numbers for belts.

I just took a look at C-3 section in the RC-1A Rotary Cutters. The only "annotation" I see is for a belt on the Lo-Boy. It's in a little yellow balloon. I don't see anything for the bearings. I don't need the numbers, I found them a long time ago by looking at the IH site parts manuals for the IH part number and then doing a NAPA interchange search.

So did my download not take? Are the annotations missing? Can I not see the forest for the trees? :?

You are correct. Dennis must have an earlier revision done before I rebuilt my C-3 and had to buy all those parts. I'll extract a page or send him a new file to update. My revision number is now 16.4, so it is always being updated and Rudi must have a later version or he would not have known about it. If anyone want my notes, I can email them the pages for the time being.
Spindle housing seal CR 12437
Bearing cup L44610 Timken
Bearing L44643 Timken
Bottom spacer 474 153 R1 new part number: G35361 The bottom seal rides on this and they can get frozen to the shaft.
Belts, B53 and B54 have been used for the 2 deck belts
BP-112 is the main drive belt for both Lo-Boy and Standard IH uses the same part number for both applications: 487 046 R1

I was not in a hurry when I did my job and got a great deal on bearings- 6 for $15 on eBay. Seals came from Rock Auto.

BE SURE TO FILL THE SPINDLE FULL OF GREASE WHEN YOU REASSEMBLE--
PUT IN NEW SEALS--TOP SEAL HOLDS GREASE IN DIRT OUT---BOTTOM SEAL
HOLDS DIRT OUT BUT LETS GREASE OUT---ON FINAL ASSEMBLE YOU SHOULD
HAVE .005 TO .007 PLAY IN BEARINGS---LAST THING TO DO IS PUMP GREASE
IN SPINDLE TILL IT COMES OUT THE BOTTOM SEAL----
-------BE CARE FULL WHICH WAY YOU PUT BOTTOM SEAL IN------
