Cannot stress enough "Aditude or angle of attack". When cut7ting height is set, mower must be slightly lower in front. Do whatever it takes within reason. Mowing flat or high in front takes 2-3 times more power. Do a search for other thread on this subject .

Ditto to what Hengy and Danover said. I have the exact same set up, a 49 Cub and a 59 Woods mower and it works great even in tall grass, she'll lug down a bit but get's 'er done. I even tow a 60" tag along deck at the same time. ...and my compression isn't as good as yours.

Well after raising the rear of the deck one hole,sharpening the blades and epoxy and adjustment to the rock shaft it works fine thanks....
