Had a great morning at Ron's 2nd annual ShowMe Cubfest. Here are some pictures:

Following day, had some shrubs to plant, so decided to use the digger before putting the tractor away:

Stanton:

I like how you think with that Prewitt  :!:

Last October at Cecil's when I bought the PHD from Bill Hudson, I said to Em and Bill -- I will never dig another hole by hand to plant trees, shrubs or vines. Gonna use my head and use my PHD  Seat Time :{_}:

It sure makes short work of a labourious job doesn't it :?:

Man what a set up....I got rocky soil and a rickety back...I've been using a Mantis tiller to plant such critters....Are those hole digging machines readily available and about how much are they....I worked for a power company and have set a million poles :D , never realized they made a set up for a cub...Once again nice rig :big afro: Dave

Dave, the Prewitt post hole diggers are pretty rare. They used the same diggers on A, B, C, H,etc. with just minor changes to the mounting hardware. On a cub however it also needs the pto reducer/reverser, which is only slightly more common than hens teeth.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Dave:

As Stanton and John said, Prewitt's are very rare and haven't been made in a long time. When they do come up, they are not cheap to acquire and certainly do no look like Stanton's. There is at least 1 other Post Hole Digger out there that we have discovered.

Fast hitch post hole digger

Mark II Cub Post Hole Digger--- Pics Added

So we know for sure that Prewitt made Post Hole Diggers (aka Grosshart) and J and S foundry made them as well. This one is mine
