To me it's not a $300 mower, especially with the work you say it needs. I'm thinking $150-175 but as has been said location and availability change that. Check the prices for knives, rock gaurds, and wear plates then your time and labor to install. The Rivit-eze is going for $40-50 and up so add that in. Depending on how the bar is bent it may supposed to be that away. There is a natural curve to them that the weight on the end (outer shoe) straightens them out. So standing the way it is you may see a curve. The bars are fairly springy, I have caught a small hidden stump with mine cutting along a ditch about a foot off the ground and before I could get stopped had the outter shoe pointing straight down. Shut off the PTO, put it in reverse and backed off the stump, bar sprung back up, put the PTO in gear, raised the bar to clear the stump and continued mowing. I'm not so sure straightening it would be effective. Besides what would someone have to of done to bend one?????

I have a few of the 22 here, and will look and see if I can come up with a complete one if your are interested. I have never had one on a tractor but have bought several with cubs before. I don't know where you live, but I work in nashville.

Ha, I have two for sale for $120 for both. Sold one I totally rebuilt for for $250, all new knives, rock guards and pitman arm. I think 3 bills might be a little steep for that.

A good price entirely comes down to what you want to do with it, how much it costs to get it to that point that you want, time, and transportation. From what I see (assuming it is really complete) and if it is close to you, $300 maybe a reasonable deal for you. When you say teeth, I assume you mean the knife. If the knife is bent, I would buy a new one. If it really needs new guards because the ledgers are worn out, that will set you back even more. It looks like the shoe soles are okay and not welded, so that will save you time and money. The rear belt guard looks good. I think I see the front belt guard. How is that rear pulley? Hopefully not welded and not wearing on one side or the other. How are the upper pulley splines? How are the mounting holes on the front bracket? Does it come with the mounting bolts (implement bolts)? Does the shaft have any noticeable play that would lead to replacing the shaft bushings (may not be able to evaluate easily in the field)? What kind of end is on the pitman are (bearing or bushing)? How tight is the hinge at the inner shoe? Having a grass rod is a plus. Like most things involving 50 year old equipment, I find the purchase price is often only a down payment.
